Development talks and work plans in May 2013

Development talks and work plans 2013-2014

Each university employee is expected to discuss their progress with
their nearest supervisor. The department development talks will be held during May 2013.

To prepare for the talks and during the talks, you can either use the
department's own guide and forms or the general guide and forms of the
university.

Each employee following the 1600-hour work schedule must make a work plan for every term with an outline of which working hours will be used for which duties. Employees should discuss their work plans with their nearest supervisor when meeting them for the development talks, and the supervisor will approve the work plan, after which the head of the department will confirm it.

Instructions:

The work plan for academic year 2013-2014 should be made by everyone who
works according to the 1600-hours per-year total working hour schedule
(i.e. teaching and research staff except Research Assistants).

THE WORK PLANS MUST BE MADE BY 31 MAY 2013.

For the teaching-hour plan, you can use the coefficients approved by the
department.

1. Log in to the SoleTM system with your primary university user account
(https://soletm.it.helsinki.fi/soletm/disp/en/ta_login/edi/edi/nop [9]).

Open ‘Work plans’ and select the plan template for year 2013-2014.
If necessary, enter a new amount of total hours and the duration of the plan if it is not the default for academic year 2011-2012.

2. Make your schedule and discuss it with your immediate superior.

Everyone creates their plan in duty categories 11-42.

Please do not forget to describe the contents of your duties and the hours in the field for additional information. You should give the names of courses and describe the makeup of total hours with the help of the planning coefficient.

3. When you are finished with your plan, select the ‘Complete’ state.

4. The Head of the department will sign off on the plans.
