Helsinki University among hundred top universities

 

The University of Helsinki placed at number 91 in the Times Higher Education university ranking. This means that the University of Helsinki is now among the top hundred universities in all three major university rankings. On the Top Universities list, Helsinki is at number 89, and in the Jiao Tong university’s ranking, we are at number 74.

 

From the Nordic countries, Karolinska Institutet (32nd), Lund University (80th), and Uppsala University (87th) also made the top hundred. On the list of two hundred universities, no other Finnish universities were ranked.

Earlier this year, 2011 QS World University Rankings placed Helsinki, i.e. the Department of Computer Science in practice, at numbers 51-100 in computer science internationally, see prior news item on this.
