About Mavis

About

Mavis is an analysis software designed to help in analysing Ikayaki measurement data files visually. For more information on Ikayaki see sections About Ikayayaki and Documentation.

The main purpose of Mavis is to help finding magnetic components from measurement data. It provides methods for printing and saving the analysis data in various formats. While it is designed to be used with Ikayaki, it still is a stand-alone software and does not need SQUID magnetometer to be connected to the system where it is run.

The most important feature for analysing that Mavis provides is the ability to draw Zijderveld plots with zooming capabilities from the measurement data provided by Ikayaki. With these plots it becomes easy to locate the magnetic components from all the data available.

Mavis is a short for magnetic visualization.
