Various aspects of living and researching abroad are covered -- or will be covered, once Jussi has settled in. Based on the last post, work and kindergarden have both started this week.

I decided to start this blog to chronicle my sabbatical year which will take me around the world. First 5 months in Korea, then 5 months in the Bay Area in the US. It is partly intended to show people in our department that going abroad is not a scary thing. :-)  The prospects of actually being able to do research as my main activity is very enticing, not to mention the possibility of collaborating with new partners. I am very much looking forward to the whole year.
